Carsten Koerl - Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Carsten has led all aspects of Sportradar’s business since founding the company in 2001, driving the growth of the company from a tech-focused start-up to a global leader in delivering sports data and content across a range of media and platforms.
Prior to founding Sportradar, Carsten held a number of management positions within the software development and gaming industry. He was the founder of bwin and led the company through one of the most successful public listings ever undertaken on the Vienna stock market. Carsten holds a Master’s Degree in Electronic and Microprocessor Engineering from the University for Applied Sciences in Konstanz (Germany).
Matteo Monteverdi - President, Sportradar US
Matteo came to Sportradar with more than 20 years of experience in designing, deploying, and growing digital transformational initiatives for B2B and B2C organizations. Matteo oversees the strategic direction for Sportradar US and provides leadership for all US business units.
Matteo joined Sportradar most recently from IGT (International Gaming Technology), where he held SVP of Product positions and played a key role in GTECH’s acquisition of IGT. He had been instrumental in leading the product portfolio strategy for both companies and in forging new successful business partnerships. Prior to IGT, Matteo held the position of EVP Sales, Marketing services for Lottomatica Betting and Interactive in Rome, Italy.
Prof. Dr. Laila Mintas, Ph.D. - Deputy President, Sportradar US
Dr. Mintas oversees Sportradar’s operations in the US and is a global thought leader on sports betting legislation, regulation and sports integrity. A lawyer by trade, Laila previously worked several years at the international law firm White & Case LLP in Berlin, Germany and specialized i.a. in Sports Law and Gambling, Compliance and Litigation. She wrote her Ph.D. in Betting via the Internet which became a well-recognized book in its field.
Previously, she was the Head of Legal and Head of International Development for FIFA’s Early Warning System (FIFA EWS) in Zurich, Switzerland and Director of Sports Integrity at CONCACAF, the governing body for Soccer in North America, Central America and Caribbean being responsible for all 41 member countries including the US, Canada and Mexico. At CONCACAF, she used data to prevent match manipulations in matches that were linked to the betting market. Since 2009, she has published a significant number of law articles in the top academic and professional journals about sports betting and sports law and has lectured at the Humboldt University of Berlin and Columbia University in New York where she is a Professor for Global Sports Law. Laila is Board member of the ‘World Sports Advocate’ and has her own Sports Law Column at InsideWorldFootball.com.
Julie Mossler - Executive Vice President, Global Marketing
Julie Anne Mossler is a builder of superbrands, specializing in data-driven consumer technology, hypergrowth transition and crisis management for first-to-market pioneers. She joined Sportradar in 2018 and currently serves as EVP of Global Marketing, overseeing brand integrity, go-to-market strategy and customer engagement.
Prior to joining Sportradar Julie was the first head of marketing and public affairs at Waze, working across drivers, governments and influencers to improve city mobility. In addition to managing the Waze brand during acquisition by Google in June 2013, Julie was on the starting team at Groupon, building the communications department globally and navigating through its IPO. She has a bachelor’s in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and is a proud Chicago Cubs fan.
